Wise Men came to us as an owner surrender. He is a 9 year old gelding by North Light (IRE). After a flat-racing career of 20 starts with 1 win, 2 seconds, 6 thirds and earnings of $51,660, he was retrained to become a steeplechaser. His new racing career was cut short after he fractured his knee in a horrible paddock accident. Wise Men’s fracture was so severe that his prognosis was rather bleak. Luckily, he is a true fighter and has made the perfect addition to the VTP herd as a permanent sanctuary resident!
